Getting off to the right start

We’re thrilled to bring you images of one of our own foals–just look at all that chrome!

This foal was born on our Oak Tree Farms near Ellendale, Minnesota to our She’s Scrumpy, a Minnesota champion and Grade 3 producer. The baby is by Jersey Town.

Mom and baby are helping us model the Buck-A-Long, which is helping to show this little one how to properly lead, keeping the hindquarters in line with the head. It also encourages baby to move forward when asked, rather than popping a hip sideways or backing up, both of which can be big problems when teaching little ones to lead.

Gorgeous baby! Is she named yet? If Scrumptious is already taken, I’d say she was Delectable! Congrats. Life is good.

Thanks, Strelsi! She is not named yet but we love the idea. We’re excited to see how that chrome looks like as she grows.
