As this was the first product of its kind in the World marketplace, we have endeavored to listen to our Herdsmen, Flock Masters, Horsemen, Trainers, and Breeders of all the species that the Udderly EZ, and Ultimate EZ Milkers are now being used on worldwide.
We have added inserts, bottles, updated our informational brochure, and are working on some new innovative additions to the UEZ and Ult EZ Milkers for next year.
We have completely updated our new website to be a source of information, more user-friendly, added live videos for each species page, an FAQ’S section, and will be adding a link page soon.
We will also be adding our brochure in other foreign languages as they become available on the site. We always welcome any comments that can help improve the product, and we have added a link that will change our website into over 53 languages instantaneously!
Here are a few of the most common questions we receive from our customers…
How do I operate the Ultimate EZ Electric Milker?
There is a complete step-by-step instructional sheet that is included in each Ultimate EZ Milker box that explains every step in precise detail of how to set it up, and all the operational functions that you need to know of how to get started. There is the Pump Booklet with all the repair parts and operation of that as well.
The Ultimate EZ Electric Milker™ can be operated with Quart bottles, the 2.5-gallon or 5-gallon Stainless Steel Buckets, and the 300 Watt Inverter for those that do not have electricity in their barn. It is an accessory and operates with DeWalt, Milwaukee, or Makita batteries.
The Ultimate EZ Milker does not pulsate, I have heard that it will hurt or ruin my cow/goat/sheep, is that true?
That is the farthest thing from the truth, we have been in business for over 25 years, 18 years with our milkers alone and they are now shipping worldwide. This is the only Milker in the world that does not have a claw or pulsator on it. We spent over 4 1/2 years doing the Research and Development on the Ultimate Ez Milker and have a strict protocol and vacuum control on the motor to regulate the flow of vacuum for the different animals it is used on. We discovered that the pulsation needed to make our system work so flawlessly is produced by the animals heart beating, everytime the heart beats you will see the milk spurt or run into the bottles or SS Bucket. Our system has been used on the same Goats, or Cows for over 5 and up to 10 years in some cases. We have had many trials in research that has been done by Veterinarians and where they have and or are using the product on Beef Cows to help treat Mastitis and on their own Milk Cows. Why is there a different Udderly EZ Milker for different animals?
The Udderly EZ Pump is the same pump for all animals. However, after eighteen years in the world market, we have found that because of the different teat sizes and bottle requirements for each species, we needed to pack each UEZ Milker Kit according to the requirements of each breed and specie and their needs as to bottle size. This came as a result of our own experience, and listening to the breeders and owners involved with the milking of the different animals!
Why do I have to start with the smallest bottle that comes in each kit?
Please follow the directions carefully and this will help you learn the proper use of the UEZ and it will function much easier for you to start with. With any vacuum operated equipment the smaller the container the less vacuum it takes to operate it and the quicker you will experience the learning curve. Be sure and watch the video link that is included in your kit instructions before operating!
How many sizes for different animals do you have and what are the sizes of the bottles?
We have five (5) sizes at the moment, and they are packed for the Horses, Cows, Camels, Sheep/Exotics, and Goats.
Collection bottles come in quarts, pints, and the 8 oz colostrum bottles.
I have severe arthritis, will I be able to work the handle?
Watch the video on all the different species and as soon as the milk starts to flow, stop pumping. When it slows down, give it 2-4 more pumps to pick up the vacuum again. You need not continue to keep pumping or you will shut off the valve in the teat! We have people with all sorts of ailments that have been using the Udderly EZ for years.
My UEZ worked fine last spring and this year when I went to use it, it doesn’t seem to have the same suction or vacuum?
More than likely you inadvertently pulled colostrum or milk into the pump housing. Read page 2 on the instructional brochure that came with your milker or pull it up off the web site for instructions on cleaning out the pump.
What parts do I need if something breaks or wears out?
Most people order the pump repair kit, with their initial order, so they will have the part on hand if something gets broken, or it is time to change a part due to extended use. The little red Umbrella valve should be changed every year, but we have all parts in stock and they can be ordered separately as well.
I just bought this pump and it doesn’t have any suction, what am I doing wrong?
Please read your instruction sheet again and watch the video again. The extractor tube must fit tightly to the pump to work properly. The UEZ Pumps all go through a complete vacuum test under USDA guidelines before leaving the factory. Make sure that you have the Silicone Inflation securely seated over the #2 plastic extractor tube!!
I have a smell coming out of the pump and it has lost suction.
See the above answer and read page 2 of the instruction sheet. Most likely, it has to be cleaned out!
My cow's/goat's teat is too big for the insert that goes into the #2 plastic tube.
Depending on the size of the teat, start with the #2 hard plastic Extractor tube and place the correct size of Silicone Inflation needed for the size of teat you will be milking. We now have 3 sizes of Silicone Inflations to fit every size of teat: green (small), blue (medium), and red (large). Always moisten the teat and strip it out a couple of squirts before starting out with the UEZ. It is not necessary for the teat to completely be suctioned into the Inflation tube to work properly.
Can I milk my Cow, Goat, Sheep every day with the UEZ and not hurt them?
Yes, always follow the instructions. We have been in the world marketplace now for eighteen years and over 250,000 units sold worldwide in over 70 countries. Please read all the stories and quotes from satisfied customers around the world!
I have noticed that there is always a little milk left in each teat, is that normal?
Yes, we have found that if you strip them out at the end of the milking cycle it helps to massage the teats and udder and keeps the udder in good shape.
How long does it take to fill a quart bottle?
It will vary according to species and animal, anywhere from 3 to 7 minutes. Once the animal has learned to let their milk down and you have become familiar with the pump it will be quicker.
Can I get a bigger container than a Quart?
No. We do not sell bottles larger than 1 quart for several reasons. The first is because of the vacuum: the smaller the bottle, the more vacuum you create. The second is if you had to hold it, it would be too heavy. Thirdly, because the bottle hangs from the teat, it would be too heavy for the animal at a larger size.
I want to return my milker, I have only used it once and have cleaned it up real good, where do I send it back to?
Yes, we have a 30-day money-back guarantee as long as all the parts, pump, and purchase receipt are returned with the milker in the same box. all of the parts and pump will be refunded as long as they fall under the warranted period from the date of purchase. (See return policy on the back of the instructional brochure and on the website.) We do not refund shipping costs and there is a 15% restocking fee that will be deducted from the refund.
We milk Nigerians and Mini’s and the bottles will not sit straight up under their udders, will it still work?
You do not have to have the bottle straight up and down (see picture on the goat pages). Because a vacuum unit will work at an angle, you just have to make sure you do not break the vacuum seal. Or if you have a wooden milk stand, you can take out a board right below where the milk bottle would hang, and that also works well (see example).
Do I need to massage my doe’s udder before I start milking with the UEZ?
It does help in most cases to massage their udder as it helps them to start letting the milk down and it doesn’t take that much time either. There are also creams that you can use and they are on our accessories page as well.
Where is the Udderly EZ made?
The Udderly EZ Milker is Made in America. It is assembled, packed, shipped, and inspected in our manufacturing facility in Humboldt, Iowa.
