As I hinted at in an earlier post, I am excited to say I will soon be a mother. My expert, exclusively private OB/GYN, Dr. Tim, has informed me that all is well with my pregnancy and I am to keep my hooves up until my calving date.
I am in the process of composing a list of what I require the Human to provide for me to keep me happy (and by extension, result in a happy calf). Happy cows produce the best milk–that’s what he’s always telling me. Well. He’s right about that…but I think that my definition of ‘happy’ is about to get a lot more specific.
So far this is my list of requirements for the next few months:
-A double helping of alfalfa
-A gallon bucket of carrots twice a day
-Specs for the next round of educational materials on our EZ Solar Solution milker. (Seriously, if you haven’t heard about this thing, you’ve got to give it a look!)
-A two-legged intern to swat flies for me while I take my rotation around my field
-An additional two-legged intern to tell me how wonderfully skinny I look despite my pregnancy
-A secretary to keep track of my milking lesson plans for the Human while I take my maternity leave
-A job posting for a bovine nanny, just in case my calf is a little more needy than I’d like
-More paper to expand my list of requirements
Any thoughts from you moms out there (two-legged or four-legged)?
